موتور دیزلی در سویک هیوندا

هوندا محدوده موتور سیویک جدید را با نسخه اصلاح شده 1.6 لیتری i-DTEC خود، یعنی اولین دیزل در رده جدید هاچ­بک گسترش می‌­دهد که از مارس سال آینده در دسترس خواهد بود.

با وجود ارتقا یافتن پیستون­‌های با قدرت بالا و منفذهای سیلندر کم اصطحکاک، توان و گشتاور خودرو همچنان 118 اسب بخار و 300 نیوتن متر باقی مانده است. این اختلاف­‌ها به سوخت مصرفی مقرون به صرفه تحت فرایند تست جدید WLTP اضافه می­‌شود که مصرف سوختی برابر 3 لیتر در هر 100 کیلومتر و آلایندگی 99 گرمی دی­‌اکسید کربن در هر کیلومتر خواهد داشت.
هوندا در حال حاضر پیستون­‌های موتور را از آلیاژ فولاد کروم-مولیبدن می‌­سازد، در حالی که منافذ در معرض صیقل دهی فوق­‌العاده قرار گرفته‌­اند و باعث حرکت نرم پیستون می­‌گردد. علاوه بر این، هوندا ادعا می‌­کند که موتور به لطف استحکام و سختی بیشتر در داخل آن، بهبود یافته و صدای کمتری را وارد کابین سرنشین می­‌کند.
مهم­تر از تمامی ویژگی­‌های موتور، سیویک جدید در سال آینده با گیربکس اتوماتیک 9 سرعته در دسترس عموم قرار خواهد گرفت. این اولین بار است که هوندا سیستم انتقال خود را در خودروی Two-Wheel-Drive قرار داده است.
